'twombly's peonies after rothko', 30x30" oil on canvas, 2016
For those of you that have followed my work, you know that Rothko's work was very influential to me teaching myself how to paint. A few years ago a client asked me to create a work inspired by Rothko. At the same time I created this piece using the colors I saw in a photograph of peonies by Twombly. It's been hanging here for a few years now and I'd like to find it a home. Unframed, $300 and framed $450.
